Textbook Craze (Updated 1/14/12)

Its Been A Really Long Time...

Hello, everyone!

I haven't really posted more than one or two blog posts this past semester.  The truth is, I haven't really had much to say!  I've been too busy actually enjoying my life and having a great time of it to actually sit down and take the time to share.  So, here is an overview of important things that have happened this semester:

  • Straight As!  Whoo hoo!!!
  • Internship at The Arbors has been going well!  I'll be ready when I get back for next semester to pick up the pace a little and continue making my time there as awesome as possible.
  • Making leaps and bounds through the Netflix queue.  Since Netflix split up its plan with the price increases, I've been subscribed online to the stream online plan.  Once I watch everything I can get through instant streaming, I'll switch to the physical disc mailing plan.  My most recent love has been How I Met Your Mother.  Words cannot describe...
  • Grocery shopping and paying bills worked out awesome with my refund from the school up until the last 3 weeks.  I'll need to rethink that for next time.. Haha!
  • Ryan and I are still going strong!  We sailed through our 5, 6, 7, and 8 month anniversaries.  April 5th of 2012 will mark our 1 year as an official couple!  YEEAHHHH!!!
  • I bought fish!  I started off the summer with 5 guppies.  One died from the stress of the transfer from the store to my tank.  Then there were 4: Cappie (the only one with visible distinguishable marks), and "The Supremes" (the other 3 look-alikes).  Unfortunately now we're down to only two of the Supremes left (whom I have now dubbed Killer and Donna).  **Note, all my guppies were males--however, you have to admit that Cappie and The Supremes is kind of catchy...**  AND the newest addition to the family is a beta named Emmett.  He has his own tank and his own life, and I think that makes him happy.
  • Space (my car) has thrived and deteriorated and thrived again!  We're hanging in the balance at around 160,000 miles.  We have winter tires but no snow....and we have oil and antifreeze that remains within the inner workings of the vehicle.  Win for all involved.
  • Excellent drunken house parties have occurred: the very realistic Prohibition 1920s Speakeasy (where many of the attendees were underage [of course, this is college] so we all hid in the basement to manage the noise levels-good times), the famous Mustache party (yep-you guessed it. Mustache mandatory for attendance), ALL of Halloween weekend (3 parties in 2 days-not bad!), the quietish Christmas party between close Burlington-bound people in my life, and of course the other various nights that involved going to bars or staying in and mixing fun drinks by ourselves!
  • Very few stressful nights worrying about homework and how I'm going to manage all of my classwork plus life in general.  4 classes per semester is PERFECT!  I'm so glad I put in all my hard times my Freshman/Sophomore years.  Senior year is a breeze so far, and I'm loving every second of it!  Sure there have been a few downs or hiccups in the general flow of things, but speaking overall, this has really been my best semester at Champlain so far.
  • Oh, and I totally taught myself how to knit over Thanksgiving break via YouTube videos.  Oh yeah.  New life skills FOR THE WIN!
I'm so happy that this year has been going so well.  I can't imagine what this year would have been like with a schedule like my Spring semester of Sophomore year.  (That was when I broke up with Luke, was managing a 12 hr/wk unpaid internship, working as a Peer Advisor for as many hours/wk as was necessary, as well as working ~10hrs/wk for my mandatory work-study hours so I could have a paycheck).  I really wasn't sure I was going to make it that semester.  BUT-I did, and I'm stronger for it.

I'm proud of myself for all I have accomplished so far.  I work damn hard and I deserve a lot of respect for all I do.  What is next on my list is to start applying for grad schools:  Boston University, Springfield College, University of Vermont, University of New Hampshire.  I'm working on getting all of my required application materials together over this break, and sending them out quite soon once I return to Burlington/Winooski.

Lastly: I have been a busy beaver over break.  I got home on Friday evening, and it is now Tuesday.  In this time, my mother and I have switched bedrooms.  I'm enjoying being home SO much more.  I don't feel so depressed and aimless as I thought I would.  A big project like this is just what I needed to keep myself busy and motivated.  I seriously got rid of about 5 bags of garbage, and donated another 5 or so to the Salvation Army.  The reason for this is that my old room was about 1/2 the size of the basement (about 1/4 of the entire house).  I moved from this big room to my moms normal-sized bedroom that actually has windows!  She moved into the bigger room.  Therefore, I needed to really focus on getting rid of a lot of my old stuff so that it would all fit into this new, smaller, more manageable room.  I cleaned out everything: stuff from past boyfriends that have been sitting or buried in my room, things I haven't touched or worried about in years, stuff I thought I would definitely need/use but never got around to, and even some stuff I had been emotionally attached to.  However, it was time to let it all go, to let it be free.  While I may still have another bag or two of trash to take out, I feel great!  Cleansed.  Like I'm getting rid of everything so that whatever comes after Champlain will have room to take hold and lead me to where I'm supposed to be-without leaving too much behind.  So far both my mother and I seem happy with the trade.

Well, this wraps everything up rather nicely from the past 4 months of my life.  I feel like I need to find a new purpose for blogging again.  I wish I could be as dedicated as other folks in writing a fabulous blog-stuff other people actually care about instead of something that looks like a journal of my life.  I will gladly accept any and all blogging ideas and suggestions below.  Tell me what you'd most want to hear/learn about!  If it is something that lines up well with my interests or knowledge and expertise, I will try to move the blog in that direction--and work on posting more frequently.  :)

Auf Wiedersehen!

I'm Addicted

I feel like my blog is my baby.  I keep coming back to check on it every time I get the chance, even when I should be doing other things (like trying to write this 10 page paper before I have to leave and do my break.)  I mean, I technically could do it all on Saturday while I'm home before I leave for FLORIDA (I can't say that enough,) but who really wants to do homework on the first real day of break?  Seriously?!

Anywho, I keep hoping for more comments and readers, which is probably what has sparked me to write about 3 blog posts in 24 hours.  Would that help, perhaps?  If I treated my blog like I do my cell phone, Twitter, or Facebook, then we'd have a serious epidemic going on here--but at least I might have readers!!! <3

Until then, I'll keep popping back in to see what activity has taken place.  Do me a favor and surprise me someday.  :)

Keep Rollin' With the Punches

So, just when I think I have a good shot at being done homework before break, my professors come out with things like, "Oh, don't forget you have a 10 page paper due for us the Monday you get back from break!"

Lovely.  Thanks for ruining my break.  Except not.  Because nothing is going to ruin the awesomeness of FLORIDA and BEACHES and HARRY EFFING POTTER!!!!

Just thought I would share my excitement.  As for the paper...well...maybe I can work on it in my free time at the beach?

Megan's Miscellaneous Life

Hey all!

Mitchell jokingly commented today that I haven't written about him in about a month.  So, the first paragraph is dedicated to that.  I'm planning to have him come stay August 14th and 15th at my house, during which time I hope he'll be able to learn a lot more about me and where I come from.  I'd LOVE to get the chance to take him to Burlington to show him Champlain, and where I live while I'm there, but that will depend on gas money and if we're up for it.  I had a daydream today about Ryan, Mitchell, and I taking this trip to Burlington, and it made me smile like a cheshire cat.  It was wonderful.  <3  I hope we can make that happen.

In other news, I'm stressing about this paper I have to write.  My topic is the nature vs. nurture argument with a focus in identical twin studies.  It blows my mind to think about the morals and ethics behind splitting up identical twins for the purposes of these kinds of studies, however identical twins are the best possible resource we can use to figure out if nature/nurture/or both have a significant impact on personalities, behaviors, morals, ethics, and how someone lives their life.  Personally, I think it's a combination of both.  Nature and genetics can only go so far, and environmental influences can only do so much.  Together though, a complete human experience is formed.  Whoa.  Double rainbow.

My treat for finishing my paper and presentation on this topic?  Paramore concert this coming Tuesday.  My first ever well-known band concert.  I've been to an All That Remains concert with my ex, but Paramore I think is much more well known.  Here's a list of links to some of their more awesome songs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-MaaxgdUT4&feature=avmsc2 -Pressure

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgJ8BZi3vTA -Emergency

Yeah, it's going to be an awesome concert.  New Found Glory will also be present, as well as some other less-well-known bands.  Hopefully everyone will put on an amazing show.

Anywho, time for me to enjoy my night.  Thanks to all of you who are dedicated to me and who are following my life.  <3

Much love!

Spewage

Welcome back, everyone!

These past few days have been interesting!  I'm begrudgingly working through my 12 page paper.  I'm currently on the bottom of page three, but I am complaining all the way.  I can't wait until Thursday when I'll basically be done college for this semester.  I'll have a few oral presentations, but those won't be as big a deal as this paper is.

I have spent the last hour spilling a lot of pent up emotions into a word document on my computer.  I didn't realize I had that much going through my head about a few different subjects until I started writing.  I wasn't sure what was going to come, but my emotional spewage is now out there, and I feel better.  Unfortunately, that's about as far as it's going to go until some sort of catalyst happens, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Ryan and I have been planning our schedules for next semester.  We've come to the realization that we have trouble sleeping without each other now, so Mondays and Wednesdays I'll be staying with him in his CASTLE of a dorm next year, and he'll be staying with us at 308 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  As for the weekend...anything goes. :)  Meggy and RyRy need to live together! :)  Haha.  Yes, it's pretty fabulous.  Oh, and did I mention we're sharing closet space and drawers in our bureaus?  Yeah, that's happening. :)  And basically, life is going to be great.  :D

So, my plans until Thursday?  Hang in there!  Get this 12 page paper done, and try not to freak out too much.  :)

Hope everyone else is staying safe and well-rested.  Much love you you all!

Classes, Housing, and Chargers, OH BOY!

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to my blog.  :)  This week has been an intensive, exhasuting one, and I can't wait for things to finally be wrapping up.

I had my last seminar class this morning.  I also found out that I don't have to attend the final exam slot set out for seminar because our final evaluation takes place at our final site visits by our field liasons.  Whooo, yeah!!! That means that one class is fully wrapped up.

As for other stuff, I have only 1 remaining 12 PAGE PAPER left to write, and then my stress for this semester will be over.

Housing selection went really well!  Ashley and I are going to be in our same room again next year here in 308.  We don't know if we have a 3rd roommate yet, or who she might be, but we are hoping she will be nice!  The girls who will be living in the double with us next year were kind of stalking us outside the building, looking for a way in to see what the dorm looks like.  The fact that they were stalking us already demonstrates that they are going to fit in perfectly with us.  This is going to be the start of a beautiful friendship!  Ryan lucked out in being able to live in a CASTLE next year.  Granted, it's on the 5th FLOOR, but at least he has his single.  He's happy. :)  (And half of his dresser/closet are going to me, soo....) yeah...

I have all the classes I want for next semester!  Here's what I'm taking: East Meets West (one of my COR classes about E & W Medicine, Chinese Journeys, Social Injustice in a Diverse Society, Social Welfare, Statistics, and Research Methods I.  Whooot!

Basically, next semester is going to be AWESOME.  Hopefully I am awarded work-study, and hopefully I am able to pay my bills with just the one job...but we'll see.  :)  I can't wait to start fresh with all of my favorite people.

In terms of my computer charger, my new one came in today!  Whoooo!!!!  I was able to bring Daphne's back to her, and now things are back to normal and as they should be.

The return of GLEE was fabulous on Tuesday, and I can't wait to see what sort of drama unfolds for this next installment. :D  Very exciting stuff!

Ok, well it is 2:40 am on Saturday morning, I suppose I should get on with my life.

Te amo everyone!

One Project Down

Last night at 11:30 I finished my Secular and the Sacred paper at UVM's Bailey-Howe with Ryan.  (Mmmm...Ryan.)  Velvet joined us for the last hour and a half or so.  This monstrous 8 page paper on the symbolism of women in Tarot is now complete.  I don't know if I acutally did the assignment and gave my professor what he was asking for, BUT, I have a strong paper...if that helps?  Also, I dropped down to four sources (INCLUDING the interview I held with my group of Naomi the Tarot reader.)  So, not sure how that will affect my grade.  Anyway, at least it's done.

Now....only four more papers/projects to go.  If I survive this week, I will once again consider myself Superwoman.  Actually, I think I earn the title 'Superwoman' permanently after surviving this semester.  HOLY CRAP.  Good thing it's almost over.  I think I should check with my mother and convince her to buy me an hour at the spa at the end of every semester just to try to calm myself down after all this hype.  Sheesh!

I feel bad for Ashley, though.  She was in the same boat as I was, except her paper was 15 pages.  Granted, because both of us are in the same class (grade-level-wise,) and because both of these papers are for COR, (we don't necessarily like COR classes all the time-can you tell?) the paper she did I have to do for Capitalism and Democracy for next week, and the paper I did she will have to do for her Secular and the Sacred class.  Both of our papers are due today at 2, so I am hoping hers is almost done. Hang in there, sweetie!

Well, unfortunately I can't spend long on here, but I did want everyone to know that I am still alive.  I'm flailing around a little bit, but I'm still here.

Much love you you all!

Bloggable Moments

This weekend has been CRAZY....and it isn't over yet!  Starting Friday night, I had a PA Appreciation Dinner from 6-8.  Meg (from Career Services!) came with me to support Chelsea and I for all of our hard work in evaluating resumes and such.  Awww. <3 (We love Meg.)  Anywho, I was only planning on going and staying until about 7 because I wanted to be with my 308 girls (and Ryan!) and kick off the weekend on a good note.

Well, slight change of plans.  The dinner was one of those that was a paced 3-course meal plus dessert, with different speakers from our group standing up to appreciate us, an all-inclusive slideshow, and superlatives. Yes, we're just THAT cool....we got superlatives.  I was choosen for "Sweetest PA" which is really cute.  :)

After being able to escape at 8, I got back to the dorm.  Previously during the day, there had been some discussion about Velvet wanting to go to the hospital per her mom's orders, so Meg had offered us a ride if need be.  I never got a response as to whether or not the ride was actually needed, so after having received a post on FaceBook that she may want to forego the trip, I thanked Meg but told her the ride probably wouldn't be necessary.  Once back at the dorm, 308 hung out for a few hours, and by 10pm guess what happened?  Yup, Velvet decided she wanted to go to the hospital.  SO, we walked up to Fletcher Allen Hospital at 10:30 pm, and had a grand old time.  Velvet was able to go back as soon as we got in the door essentially, and so Ashley, Ryan and I moved on into the waiting room until Velvet got out.  In the meantime, a "felon" was walked into the hospital and admitted to the Triage.  (We don't actually know what he did wrong, but this was the name Ryan dubbed him with.)  Felon was in cuffs accompanied by a Po-po man, and once admitted to the Triage, we were able to see what happened (unfortunately.)  Fortuantely for me though, I went to the bathroom as this next part unfolded.  Mr. Felon man got an IV stuck in him (which was able to be viewed by everybody in the waiting room because the Triage has windows....wtf.)  So Ryan and Ashley watched this drama unfold.

***NOTE-If you are eating, please finish before going on to read this next paragraph.***

In between watching Ashley and Ryan hold an EPIC game of UNO in Ryan's lap, another poor soul found its way to Fletcher Allen.  This guy was coughing up lung-fulls of phlegm/blood.  Unforunatley, because it was "after hours", only one of the Triage rooms was open...the one Mr. Felon man was occupying.  So basically while this guy was dying in the waiting room, Mr. Felon man was taking his time.  And to top it all off, when he got out of the Triage room to let the other guy in, Mr. Felon man was smiling and thinking this was all a grand old time.  Yeah....awesome.

FINALLY Velvet gets about about 1.5 hrs after we originally got there, and after basically only telling her what she already knew (except for clarifiying that it isn't a sprain, simply really inflamed for whatever reason,) we were able to go back for the evening.

Yesterday we spent time on homework/papers/final project-papers.  Not fun.  My 8 pager due Tuesday isn't even started yet because I'm still sifting through all my sources for information.  *Sigh*  After spending until about 3:30-4 on this, I was finished with a UVM book so I went with Ryan to go return it and to go grab supper.  Afterwards, we decided to go on a walk.  We discovered where the Intervale is located, and found some pretty epic hills that we didn't know existed.  All in all, it was a good time!

Today I'm planning on finishing up sifting through all my sources, and then getting a few good pages done by 5 pm at the latest tonight.  I REALLY want to get this paper on the roll, but it's hard because its for a professor who prides himself on being a hardass (his words, not mine.)  SO, this paper may or may not be the end of me.  I guess either way it works out.  For the rest of this semester, I have a study guide to complete for Fred, a project to complete for Fred, a 12 page paper for my Constituation Project, 2 oral presentations, a Written Process Recording to complete for Seminar, work on a Final Evaltuation for Seminar/my internship, 3 Music Makers concerts, Housing Selection Night, and a final Champlain Loses It Finale Party.  So, if the Ethnographic paper kills me, guess I won't have to worry about the rest of that! :)  Hahaha That's morbid...

Ok blogosphere, just wanted to let you know I was still alive.  I'll post a picture and sign off for another week or two depending on how well I can survive the next 3 weeks.  Much love to you all!!!

Death

Wow.  That's all I really have to say.  Within the span of 3 days, 1/3 of my famliy members have died.  (Granted that's only 2...but I don't have very many family members that I am/have been close to in my life.)  I consider the family members I do have left to be very precious, and should be "handled with care."

I recently re-connected with Uncle Mike.  He's been basicly everywhere in the world.  Guess thats a benefit of being with the military.  I would LOVE to get the chance to travel the world, but considering all the factors and limitations in my environment and surrounding community, I doubt very much if that will ever happen.  Especially with the line of work I am going into.  Social Workers are lucky if they make 30k/yr.  Yeah, not going to be fun.  Why couldn't I have been better acquainted with numbers?  Then I could be an Accounting major and get a STARTING rate of like 60-80k/yr.

Ughh.  FML--over and over again.

Right now, I'm just looking forward to spending the weekend with my boyfriend.  I just need to clear my head, screw it back on straight, and buckle back down.  I feel like a cat that is trying desperately to cling to a curtain with her claws, while the owner is trying to free her nails of the curtain.  I don't WANT to be moved from the curtain.  I LIKE THE CURTAIN!!!!!!! STOP IT!!

I was talking with my mother on Yahoo Messenger and I asked her to please not die, at least for a little while.  Because this spurt is really rather depressing, and I have too much to deal with already just trying to make it through school.  I don't need to be worrying about whether or not my family is making it through day-to-day life at home as well.  Grr.

I believe things happen for a reason though.  Perhaps I'll be able to get closer to "that" side of the family again.  (If they all don't decide to hold grudges...)  We shall see.

Right now I should be writing/finding examples for a paper I have to write that's due Monday...buuuuuuut I feel blogging is more important for right now.  My head hurts, I just want to go back to sleep (actually, to the gym would be nice too.)
But nope, can't do that.  I have class at 11-12:15, working 1:30-4:30, PA Meeting from 4:45-6:15, get my Music Makers folder back from Ryan, Music Makers from 7-9, and then--THEN maybe I can take care of myself.

Is it Friday yet?  This is my last stressful night for a while I hope.  Tomorrow night is Glee/Eastwick (and they're soon to cancel Eastwick.....FML--again and again), Thursday night is Kickboxing (which I will desperately need), and Friday night is Kickboxing/catch the bus to Luke's.    I need a weekend of pampering.  Perhaps a day at the spa?  Psh, yeah right.  Not with my budget.  Not hardly.  But thats where boyfriends come in??? ;) Haha.

Well, the best I can do is hang in there.  I hope both my gramps are doing ok.  One lost a sister and the other lost his spouse.  Not a good time on any side of the fam.  Hang in there everyone, things'll get easier soon, I hope!

Ok, I should probably get ready for class now.

Love you all, and stick with it.  The semester is almost over!!!

Update on My Life

So, the past 12 hours have been pretty much insane.

I somehow had a temperature of 95 degrees this morning, and yet I felt much better when I got up compared to how I felt last night with a 96.something degree temp.  WHAT is this?

Also, I have put in my application to be approved for a Discover Student Credit Card.  Whooo hoooo!!!! I can finally start building up some credit by charging all of (and only) my school textbooks on the card, and building up some good, responsible credit so that I can maybe get a car or house later in my life.  YAY ME!!!!

Kind of excited.  (This was after debating with my mom on the phone last night for about an hour...with her telling me I'm almost 20 years old and she isn't going to tell me what to do.)  Yes, of course you're not going to tell me what to do.  I just wanted ADVICE!!!  Is this a smart thing for me to do at this stage of my life, etc?  If you read my previous post, you see the distess I had pertaining to this whole situation, and whether or not I thought I was capable of managing a credit card.

But again, thanks to SUPERVELVET (her name from henceforth,) I have confidence in my skills.  (That girl is still my hero, just fyi.) :)

Besides fleeting illnesses and applications for evil credit cards, I have finished my scientific revolutions paper as well.  (Speaking of which, I have to get going in about 10 mins because class will be starting here, shortly.)

It is finito, I feel better than I did last night, and I hopefully have the gateway to me building credit coming sometime soon.

That's all, folks!

xoxoxo

Gramp Was Right

So, this past summer I worked two jobs in order to pay for my college experience.  Kinney Drugs and Dunkin' Donuts.  Whooot!!!  While I was working both of these jobs, my grandfather kept joking with me that I should get a third one, It'd be "good for me."  (He was being sarcastic...but he did have a bit of a point!)
Anywho, I still have essentially two jobs here at college this semester.  Buttt....guess what's happening next semester?  You in the back, you get a prize! That's right! Next semester I have the distinct "pleasure" of working three jobs.  The two I currently have, as well as an INTERNSHIP for my Social Work program here at Camp Champ.  Oh boy!  Why am I not going to be crying about 3 weeks in?  Hahaha.

Onto more fun things:  I went to see Paranormal Activity last night with Ryan, Jess, and Ashley.  I sat between Jess and Ashley, and Ashley and I ended up huddled into each other, and Jess was basicly laughing, and Ryan was physically shaking by the end of the movie.  Yep, GREAT movie!  Actually it was pretty good....so well done, in fact, that I actually got so terrified that I ended up crying.  WTF?!

So, after we get back to the dorm, we end up watching The Haunting in Connecticut.  THAT was a weird movie.  I didn't really understand much of that till the end.  Zombies in the house....awesome.  Strange, but I'll take it as it is I suppose.

Tonight I am supposed to be writing my 6-8 page paper.  I got to the top of page three and I needed a break, hence BLOG time!!!!  :)

Just thought I'd check in and let everyone know I was still alive.

Oh! Big news!  GLEE IS NOT AIRING THIS WEEK!?!!!???!?!?!!?!?!?  WHAT IS THIS??????????????????  Kind of not impressed, but that means that I can take a break I suppose.  I have a paper due Tuesday, a paper due Wednesday, and then hopefully Luke will be coming up this Thursday night, Halloween dance here at Camp Champ, then go home Friday with Ashley and Ryan to go to the St. J/LI game. WHOOT!  Ashley gets to experience some of the awesomeness of VT, and schools stooped in deep traditions.  Here we go!

Ok, well I've procrastinated enough.  I'm going back to try to get past page three, then page four, then five, then hopefully I can stop at page 6 or 7???

Wish me luck with my epic paper writing!  I wish you all luck with your respective lives, keep on keepin' on!

Another Dreary Day...

Hello, everyone. How's life? Life in 308 has been pretty stressful lately. Not too much time for fun. :( Between midterms, Jess' flu, and me needing to get going on busting out a 6-8 pager, and a 4-6 pager for 2 different classes, its a pretty stressful time.

Last night was Glee night. Glee was awesome as ALWAYS!!!! In Music Makers on Tuesday night, Dave (one of the co-conductors), played the Glee version of Don't Stop Believing. It. Was. Awesome. EVERYONE started busting out that song the instant it came on. Hahahhaha!!!

My girls and I (Ryan included) have decided to start doing mini-webisodes. I will eventually give the link to the blog that we are considering starting that will be JUST for our webisodes. They will also be posted on FaceBook and possibly on YouTube (just to make sure we can get some good feedback from friends and family.) :)

I'm still working on trying to convince my mom to get FaceBook, by the way. I would LOVE to be able to write to her and keep in contact with her that way, because FaceBook is my MAIN social networking site. Buuuuut she's kind of old-school and doesn't think people her age should be on FaceBook. Wonder what she'd say if I told her that Ashley's mom is on there? Hehe.

Well, thats ok, too. I'll do what I can.

Luke is trying to meet up with me today in the Big Burly World, however because of my schedule and all my requirements of my time, I'm not sure I'll be able to see him. :( FML. Hey, and I just looked out the window and there is a lady bug crawling up our screen! CUTE!!! Sorry, back to Luke. Yes, I miss him terribly. Unfortunately, for my own well-being, I am not able to spend all of my time on my computer anymore. The "free time" that I have is generally spent directly on homework, and the rest of my free time is spent with my friends that live here. Right now they are the main ones who are keeping me sane. I'm very much a physical person. I naturally get really close to the people I live with and see everyday. They are my rocks that keep me from floating away. I loooooove Luke to death, but by the time I'm able to get online its about 8:30 at night and by then I'm so exhausted I can't focus much on what anybody is saying to me. I feel like such a failure, but how things are working now is just about the best I can do. Next semester, I'll be taking 6 classes instead of my 5, and I'll be working 3 jobs. Soooo....my prospects for trying to fix my awesome mistake aren't looking so great right now. Luke, if you're reading this...just move to Burlington! This will solve everyone's problem!

If anyone has any advice, please post below. Thanks!

Love you all,

Anton van Leeuwenhoek

...is dead. He died a long time ago, in fact. And my partner Amber and I have to try to come up with a solid reason of why he was important, and why anyone should give a damn.
Actually, he was kind of a cool guy. He was the first to look through a microscope and discover bacteria and germs and all that fun stuff. (He also discovered sperm...but thats another story.) This could potentially be a really epic presentation. We're going to try to make a powerpoint with pictures and a "shit-ton" (thank you, Velvet for your NY vocabulary!!) of music. Hopefully it won't come out looking like crap. Oh yeah, and did I forget to mention there's a 5 pg paper that accompanies all of this? Yeah, NOT FUN.

Anywho, I am sitting in the library waiting the last 15 mins for my partner to show up so we can get to work. It's going to be a fantastic time. I just hope we can get it done and have it look really excellent by the end of today. We shall see, as always. :)

Anywho, I'm going to go to try to get some FaceBook time in inbetween doing this project and spending the rest of my life doing homework.

Lots of Love!!!

RIP Moon

WTF NASA?  WHY ARE YOU MESSING WITH OUR MOON?  WHY DO YOU FEEL THAT YOU NEED TO GET YOUR GRUBBY LITTLE HANDS ALL OVER THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE?  LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE!!!!!

Nobody is happy about this.  The entire country is in an uproar, and I believe there are going to be riddiculous amounts of protests going on tomorrow.  If this moon gets out of orbit and the oceans get messeed up, I am NOT going to be a happy camper.

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

In news closer to home,

I am trying to work on my Sci Rev paper that is due tomorrow at 11.  This is soooome shit!  Hahaha.  Wow-yep.  Ryan is living with us until Sunday, and I get to get my computer looked at by the Help Desk tomorrow in order to get the Trojan off that has managed to work its way in.  I am having them wipe my entire harddrive of everything and anything, and starting from scratch.  YAY!

Anywho, I must get back to my paper.  It's about half done, but not quite there yet.  Love ya'll incase I don't ever get to write to you again.

Love (hopefully not for the last time,)
