Soooo....some of you may be baffled at the title. Understandably so.
Here's what I mean.
When I came to college, I was overweight enough where when I looked down the front of my body, I saw boobs and then a few inches of protruding tummy beyond that. Now when I look down...I just see boobs!!! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! This means I've probably lost some inches on my tummy area, but I'll be able to validate that more when I'm able to find some quiet time to strip down and take my measurements. (It's really rather difficult in college with people around all the time.) I'm not knocking it though, all summer I craved more interaction with people my own age. Well, now I've got it.
I'm very excited for weigh-in on Sunday. Also, I've gone in to reset my WW points. I had been allotted 32 points per day, but now that I've indicated that I'm walking most of the time, I'm allowed 37 points per day. No WONDER I've been starving at the end of the day. I'm doing some serious calorie burning by walking everywhere (especially to Ryan's dorm room-which is 5 stories up-and elevators are not an option.)
To add on the subject of my diminishing belly bulge, I feel like I can account to the other reason I've lost some of it. First, there's the exercise portion which obviously helps, regardless. But then there's the food choices. Case in point: I looooooove warm bagels with cream cheese. They taste so good, and it's essentially a comfort food. However, bread expands in your stomach-therefore creating extra pudge and bloat during the day. I've been really careful about choosing lots of fruits in the morning for breakfast (I need to start working more protein in in my breakfasts as well-but I'm working on that,) and having at LEAST 1 salad a day with either lunch or dinner. I like to try to have a bigger lunch because then your body has the entire rest of the day to digest that. Dinner should be something simple yet effective. Half a plate of veggies or fruits, 1/4 plate of protein/fiber, 1/4 plate of whole grains.
I'm having a bit of a battle with the "whole grains" thing. The prepared meals I've been getting are more geared either towards straight up carbs (lunch), or lots of veggies/healthy stuff that'll digest within the next hour or so (dinner-usually.) Maybe I should work on making deli choices for lunch instead, and then asking for whole grain bread. That may help. :) Plus any cold cut means will be protein. Hmmm...excellent.
Also-on a side note. I splurged last night. It's been around 90 degress EVERDAY of college so far. It's sooooooo hot. Vermont is NOT supposed to be 90 degress. Ever. Okay, maybe one or two days out of August, but not for weeks at a time. It was in the 70s and 80s before I left for college back in Lyndonville, and now that I'm back in Burlington where the weather is naturally about 5 degress warmer than home anyway, the temp decides it needs to skyrocket. Because of this, I had a chocolate creemee for desert yesterday with Hershey's chocolate sauce. I don't regret it. :)
Anywho, I've got to wrap up this post for now because I have class in a half hour and I'd like some time to center myself before going up to campus for 3 classes. To everyone out there-good luck with your weight loss plan or with your making healthier lifestyle choices plan! I'm always here...going through the same process with you.
Chin up, kids!

A Slob, Inspired
Okay, so you know those days where you don't even want to roll out of bed? You don't even want to answer the phone. All you want to do is crawl back into your bed, stay there, and watch an entire season of your favorite tv show ALL DAY.
You know, sorta like this:
Today was one of those days.
I have accomplished something today, however. I just dragged myself into the shower and now I look like an actual person rather than a crazed serial killer who stalks neighborhoods and eats kids. A minor improvement if you ask me.
After watching Julie and Julia, I've found myself inspired. Blogging with conviction. The original purpose of this blog was to blog about the happenings of 308 Maple, but now that I'm home for the summer, I feel as though I have lost my way as a blogger. I feel as though I bore you all with my incessant ramblings about everything and nothing, and yet I don't know what I love enough to keep up a blog that deserves so much more attention than I give it. Julie and Julia inspired me to want to take my blog in some new directions, but I'm just not sure where yet.
I don't want to end up looking like this anymore:
It's depressing, annoying, and I actually want readers! I mean, I love all of you who are a part of my 308 Crew! <3 But I want to start something. Something meaningful, something that will keep me going. What is it that I care about? What do I love? What can I advertise about myself that doesn't make me sound like a crazy person? (Well...I suppose I am in a way, but aren't we all?) What do people want to hear? I mean, blogging about my life and what happens in my life is fun, but ANYBODY can do that. What can I do that nobody else I know can? How can I get some loyal, devoted followers? (Someone that I don't actually know.)
Watching Julie and Julia reminded me of a yearning I want as well. The struggle Julie went through in order to gather her follwers was one I could relate to very well. I don't really know how else to advertise myself.
I mean, I only have like, 5 followers on Twitter. How am I supposed to navigate Blogspot? Especially when there is no easy way to browse other blogs. I still haven't figured that out yet. UGH. Why can't things just be easy? (Haha, that's funny.) Next week I'll have my Intro to Bio class to keep me busy, so maybe on my day off this is just a passing thought. But, maybe not?
I need some help. I feel a little lost, and I want to write something that people will care about. I want to connect with other people, I want someone to look forward to my next posts (again, someone that I don't actually already know in person.) :)
Thank you to those of you who have stuck with me through the beginning. Until I find my way, I suppose I am going to go get my butt on the treatmill and walk off all the Oreos and Vault I gorged myself on last night with Ryan. Girly week sucks.
Much love.

Spewage
Welcome back, everyone!
These past few days have been interesting! I'm begrudgingly working through my 12 page paper. I'm currently on the bottom of page three, but I am complaining all the way. I can't wait until Thursday when I'll basically be done college for this semester. I'll have a few oral presentations, but those won't be as big a deal as this paper is.
I have spent the last hour spilling a lot of pent up emotions into a word document on my computer. I didn't realize I had that much going through my head about a few different subjects until I started writing. I wasn't sure what was going to come, but my emotional spewage is now out there, and I feel better. Unfortunately, that's about as far as it's going to go until some sort of catalyst happens, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
Ryan and I have been planning our schedules for next semester. We've come to the realization that we have trouble sleeping without each other now, so Mondays and Wednesdays I'll be staying with him in his CASTLE of a dorm next year, and he'll be staying with us at 308 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As for the weekend...anything goes. :) Meggy and RyRy need to live together! :) Haha. Yes, it's pretty fabulous. Oh, and did I mention we're sharing closet space and drawers in our bureaus? Yeah, that's happening. :) And basically, life is going to be great. :D
So, my plans until Thursday? Hang in there! Get this 12 page paper done, and try not to freak out too much. :)
Hope everyone else is staying safe and well-rested. Much love you you all!

Classes, Housing, and Chargers, OH BOY!
Hello everyone!
Welcome back to my blog. :) This week has been an intensive, exhasuting one, and I can't wait for things to finally be wrapping up.
I had my last seminar class this morning. I also found out that I don't have to attend the final exam slot set out for seminar because our final evaluation takes place at our final site visits by our field liasons. Whooo, yeah!!! That means that one class is fully wrapped up.
As for other stuff, I have only 1 remaining 12 PAGE PAPER left to write, and then my stress for this semester will be over.
Housing selection went really well! Ashley and I are going to be in our same room again next year here in 308. We don't know if we have a 3rd roommate yet, or who she might be, but we are hoping she will be nice! The girls who will be living in the double with us next year were kind of stalking us outside the building, looking for a way in to see what the dorm looks like. The fact that they were stalking us already demonstrates that they are going to fit in perfectly with us. This is going to be the start of a beautiful friendship! Ryan lucked out in being able to live in a CASTLE next year. Granted, it's on the 5th FLOOR, but at least he has his single. He's happy. :) (And half of his dresser/closet are going to me, soo....) yeah...
I have all the classes I want for next semester! Here's what I'm taking: East Meets West (one of my COR classes about E & W Medicine, Chinese Journeys, Social Injustice in a Diverse Society, Social Welfare, Statistics, and Research Methods I. Whooot!
Basically, next semester is going to be AWESOME. Hopefully I am awarded work-study, and hopefully I am able to pay my bills with just the one job...but we'll see. :) I can't wait to start fresh with all of my favorite people.
In terms of my computer charger, my new one came in today! Whoooo!!!! I was able to bring Daphne's back to her, and now things are back to normal and as they should be.
The return of GLEE was fabulous on Tuesday, and I can't wait to see what sort of drama unfolds for this next installment. :D Very exciting stuff!
Ok, well it is 2:40 am on Saturday morning, I suppose I should get on with my life.
Te amo everyone!

Bloggable Moments
This weekend has been CRAZY....and it isn't over yet! Starting Friday night, I had a PA Appreciation Dinner from 6-8. Meg (from Career Services!) came with me to support Chelsea and I for all of our hard work in evaluating resumes and such. Awww. <3 (We love Meg.) Anywho, I was only planning on going and staying until about 7 because I wanted to be with my 308 girls (and Ryan!) and kick off the weekend on a good note.
Well, slight change of plans. The dinner was one of those that was a paced 3-course meal plus dessert, with different speakers from our group standing up to appreciate us, an all-inclusive slideshow, and superlatives. Yes, we're just THAT cool....we got superlatives. I was choosen for "Sweetest PA" which is really cute. :)
After being able to escape at 8, I got back to the dorm. Previously during the day, there had been some discussion about Velvet wanting to go to the hospital per her mom's orders, so Meg had offered us a ride if need be. I never got a response as to whether or not the ride was actually needed, so after having received a post on FaceBook that she may want to forego the trip, I thanked Meg but told her the ride probably wouldn't be necessary. Once back at the dorm, 308 hung out for a few hours, and by 10pm guess what happened? Yup, Velvet decided she wanted to go to the hospital. SO, we walked up to Fletcher Allen Hospital at 10:30 pm, and had a grand old time. Velvet was able to go back as soon as we got in the door essentially, and so Ashley, Ryan and I moved on into the waiting room until Velvet got out. In the meantime, a "felon" was walked into the hospital and admitted to the Triage. (We don't actually know what he did wrong, but this was the name Ryan dubbed him with.) Felon was in cuffs accompanied by a Po-po man, and once admitted to the Triage, we were able to see what happened (unfortunately.) Fortuantely for me though, I went to the bathroom as this next part unfolded. Mr. Felon man got an IV stuck in him (which was able to be viewed by everybody in the waiting room because the Triage has windows....wtf.) So Ryan and Ashley watched this drama unfold.
***NOTE-If you are eating, please finish before going on to read this next paragraph.***
In between watching Ashley and Ryan hold an EPIC game of UNO in Ryan's lap, another poor soul found its way to Fletcher Allen. This guy was coughing up lung-fulls of phlegm/blood. Unforunatley, because it was "after hours", only one of the Triage rooms was open...the one Mr. Felon man was occupying. So basically while this guy was dying in the waiting room, Mr. Felon man was taking his time. And to top it all off, when he got out of the Triage room to let the other guy in, Mr. Felon man was smiling and thinking this was all a grand old time. Yeah....awesome.
FINALLY Velvet gets about about 1.5 hrs after we originally got there, and after basically only telling her what she already knew (except for clarifiying that it isn't a sprain, simply really inflamed for whatever reason,) we were able to go back for the evening.
Yesterday we spent time on homework/papers/final project-papers. Not fun. My 8 pager due Tuesday isn't even started yet because I'm still sifting through all my sources for information. *Sigh* After spending until about 3:30-4 on this, I was finished with a UVM book so I went with Ryan to go return it and to go grab supper. Afterwards, we decided to go on a walk. We discovered where the Intervale is located, and found some pretty epic hills that we didn't know existed. All in all, it was a good time!
Today I'm planning on finishing up sifting through all my sources, and then getting a few good pages done by 5 pm at the latest tonight. I REALLY want to get this paper on the roll, but it's hard because its for a professor who prides himself on being a hardass (his words, not mine.) SO, this paper may or may not be the end of me. I guess either way it works out. For the rest of this semester, I have a study guide to complete for Fred, a project to complete for Fred, a 12 page paper for my Constituation Project, 2 oral presentations, a Written Process Recording to complete for Seminar, work on a Final Evaltuation for Seminar/my internship, 3 Music Makers concerts, Housing Selection Night, and a final Champlain Loses It Finale Party. So, if the Ethnographic paper kills me, guess I won't have to worry about the rest of that! :) Hahaha That's morbid...
Ok blogosphere, just wanted to let you know I was still alive. I'll post a picture and sign off for another week or two depending on how well I can survive the next 3 weeks. Much love to you all!!!

I'm Baaaaaack!!!!
Well, the 2010 Spring Break is over. Now we're all in it for the long haul. A month and a half left of school. Isn't that so depressing?
Seriously, wtf? Can't we just like, stay in 308 forever and never have to worry about leaving and the possibility of not coming back? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I won't have it.
Tonight is going to be fun. We're going to try to have a discussion amongst our 308 members about where we're going to be living next year, and/or to see if we can still stay here in the same room next year. I really want to. Velvet has some hinderances, but we want to see if we can work through them. Also, Ashley has some cautions about all of us rooming together, but hopefully we'll get this all discussed tonight. We'll see.
I'm so tired, and I shouldn't be. I mean, tomorrow is Monday. I don't have classes. Normally I would have an internship but because I got ahead in my hours I am now allowed to take Mondays off. AGGGHHHHH!!! That'll be fun!
So, I guess I'm just working on hanging in there. I want this semester to be over sooo badly I can taste it. But, I don't want to leave all these wonderful people. Can I just live in Champlain's dorms with everybody and NOT take classes or have work to do? Can we work that out somehow? Shoot, didn't think so. :(
Ok, well I'm going to go and try to figure out to do with the rest of my school career. Much love!

Lazy Saturday Afternoon
Flash Update: 308 had it's first legit slumber party last night. Mattresses came off the bed, and went out into the living room onto the floor. Best. Night. Ever.
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
There are no pictures, but trust me, it was a blast. We were pretty much asleep by 12:30 am, and didn't wake up until 11ish. Oh how I love my bed....even if it is on the floor in the living room. So, I guess technically speaking, I should say that I love my mattress???
Anyway, thought I would give an update of my life! I have a HUGE pile of homework to get through...like, the size of Mt. Everest. It's NOT going to be fun. But Ryan and I are thinking about eating supper with Ashley, and then taking a nap. THEN we'll get bac up to do homework and finish our day. Velvet has to go to work at 6 until 10, and then she can come back and join our homework party.
Whooo hooo!!!
OH! AND MORE BIG NEWS!!!!
This time next week.....Ryan and I will be getting pampered up to go to the Rainforest Cafe in Burlington, MA for my BIRTHDAY DINNER!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
(Just a little pumped...just a little...)
Ok! Well I am going to go back to the safe, fun world of FaceBook. Love you all! Stay safe and keep warm!
Love,
Megan

Snowball/Jeanne Mance/Successes/Failures
Well, hello everyone!
I've been a slacker lately. I'm so caught up in my day to day life that things have started to slide on the blogosphere side of my life.
SO, to catch up, let's start with snowball:
I've been a slacker lately. I'm so caught up in my day to day life that things have started to slide on the blogosphere side of my life.
SO, to catch up, let's start with snowball:
These are snapshots of the evening. Hahaha. Amid all the completely inebriated people in the center of the dance floor, the rest of us had a GREAT time with the chocolate fountain (FONDUE!!!!) and some of the music. Top Hat Entertainment could have probably done a little bit of a better job, but we were able to do the Hand Jive, so then it was all good. :)
Now, let's talk about Jeanne Mance! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I received the BEST massage in the past 8 years from Ryan. It felt so goooood. We made a special trip to Rite Aid to get baby oil, and a water fountain. Mmmmmm hmmm.....it was awesome. We made a Zen Tent, and a new phrase: "It's ZEN TIME, WHAT?" Yes, things are strange.
Later in the evening, we decided to get Wings for supper. After calling and waiting for 45 mins, Wings calls Ryan's cell phone. Joe BOOKS it down the stairs. When Ryan and I arrive, there are like 4-5 guys lined up against the wall with police officers reading them their rights. We don't know what happened, but it had to do with alcohol and being on campus. To see the supposed dialogue, check out Ryan's blog: http://ryhowland.blogspot.com/
Ryan and I just completed a V-Day mailing package to go out to everybody. It was pretty epic! Hahahaha. We've got letters going to L-ville, Barre, and Florida. Toes!!!! Let's just blanket our country with 308 Luv!
As far as successes and failures, I'm surviving school. I don't particularly enjoy a few of my classes this semester, but I'm plugging through them. I just wish the next three months would hurry up and be done because I'm basically ready to go home and spend time with my family and Ryan. Granted, I wish I could also go visit Velvet and Ashley at their respective homes in NY and Mass, but it is what it is.
As far as plans for next year, Ryan and I are still planning to hop a plane to Florida over Thanksgiving break. Mmmmm hmmm....pictures to come! Hahahahha. Cannot wait. Taking a plane (or two!) by ourselves is going to be pretty amazing, and I feel like I'll feel MUCH more like an adult when that is able to happen. Can't wait!
I believe that's about it as of right now. I'm (immensely) enjoying being a single woman, and I plan to enjoy it until I feel I'm ready to try dating again. I love being able to go out with my friends and not feel guilty about not being ONLINE for 7hrs every night talking about the same things day after day. I really do feel free, and I'm going to enjoy that freedom to it's fullest extent.
Much Love! IT'S ZEN TIME, WHAT?!
Love, Megan

308: RECONVENE!!!!!
Hey, everybody!!!! Today is the day!!! The 308 gang (minus Jess) are all coming back!!!! Ashley and I now live in a double-room, living room, and kitchenette included! Hahahaha. Velvet will be back tomorrow evening, and Ryan will be back in a week.
I miss(ed) everyone, and I'm glad to be back in Burlington even if we're still missing a few people. I miss my twin, but we shalt be together again soon. :)
If Ashley and I can survive Monday, then if Velvet, Ashley, and I can survive this week, things'll be all good cuz Sunday Ryan will be here--and that means a trip to DOBRA TEA!!!!
I am going to return to the festivities here at Camp Champ-308.
Leave a message at the...BEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!

I Know What You're Thinking
WHERE has she been? WTF, I want another post!
Well, ladies and gents. I have been busy. I have almost successfully navigated my way through the Fall 2009 semester. One more exam in about 45 mins and then it'll hopefully be just about done and over with...
GIFT EXCHANGE is tonight! I'm still working on the most EXCELLENT Christmas present for Ryan. It won't be done in time for tonight, but apparently we've both created gifts for one another that is going to make both of us sob uncontrollably. Can't wait! Oh! Spyro is almost done!!!! Hahahaha. We haven't totally "beat" the game yet, because we have to go back through all the other levels and collect ALL the gems in order to get into the final level. But we're definitely working on it.
Speaking of gifts, I can't wait for Velvet to open hers. It's mostly a gag gift, but it is also something she will hopefully find useful, and that will make her laugh, giggle, or at least smile once every morning. :)
Finals are overall going extremely well so far. Is it bad to phrase this line like this: "I wonder how many A's I have?" Hahaha. I feel like I did really well this semester in despite of all the crap that happened.
Ugh. But, I've almost made it.
Ryan, Joe, Ashley, Velvet, (maybe Jess?), and I are going to have our last fantastic night in 308 maple tonight. Send us your best!
xoxo
Love,
Megan
P.S. My ex-supervisor is AWESOME. This is a shoutout to Meg, who offered to let Ryan and I borrow her vehicle for transporting college kid stuff from Jeanne Mance to 308. Meg Ryan (our combined stage name) thanks you!!!!!

Whatchu Doin' On Blogger n' shit?!
Hey, all!
Just preparing to go see Paranormal Activity tonight with Jess, Ashley, and Ryan. I wanted Velvet to come with us, but the only showing they're having tonight is at 9:40, and she only gets out of work at 9:30. Sooo...kind of a fail... :(
Oh well. We're going to get fucking scared out of our minds and then Velvet will be laughing at us all being so paranoid...cuz you should all know this about me: Scary Movies=PARANOID MEGAN for like....3 MONTHS!!!! Hahaha It's a great time.
I'm really nervous to see this movie....it's going to be SOME shit (as we would say.) :)
Hope the popcorn isn't about $12 for a small. That would not make me happy. GRRR.
GOOD NEWS THOUGH!!! I do have the $80 for my Planned Parenthood appointment so my family doesn't have to come up with the money to help me out. WHOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
I'm trying SO hard to become as financially independent from them as possible, but it's really hard. Making the amount of money I do, its VERY difficult. But I think I've been doing a DAMN good job for what I've accomplished so far. Yeah I slip up every now and then, but who doesn't? I've finally reached a point in my life where I think I've become very financially mature, and with much thanks to Velvet, she helps keep me in perspective. THAT girl has gone through SO much shit to stay in college, she is one of my true heroes. :) BE COOL! STAY IN SCHOOL!!!!
MUCH LOVE!

Black Hole
Soooo...according to current.com there's a black hole on Earth. We're all going to die...a.g.a.i.n. Shit.
OH! Onto more positive things.....FILMING!!!! I helped out one of Jess' friends finish her film project that is due sometime soon. The cast: Jess & Ryan. The techies: Megan, Ashley, Sarah, and Britney. KIND OF AWESOME!!!!!!
Jess and Ryan memorized those lines like NO TOMORROW!!!! It was awesome. Ashely and I shared holding the "Boom Stick" (AKA that really long stick with the microphone on the end of it in order to get better volume.) It was bunches of fun except for the fact that we froze to death. we probably should have done the smart thing and took a break midway to get dethawed, then come back to the set. Buuuuut...timecrunches. Most of us know how that goes.
Anywho....the movie is 'wrapped', and we're all avidly awaiting our own, personalized copies. :)
Tonight is going to be an epic night in 308 Feeley. Brittany and Rachell have a friend coming to stay the night....and Ryan is going to be staying the night....yeah, this is going to be some shit. Party in Rm. 203 in 308 Maple!!!!!
LATEEEEEEEEEEEE NIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT!!!!!!!
(Ok, so about that....I didn't think I was going to have time for lunch this afternoon because I had forgotten about a group mtg. SO, I run back to my dorm, pop a bag of popcorn. That's my lunch. Yep, thats it. This was at 2pm. It is now 8pm, and I am STARVING!!!! But there is still another half hour until late night food. Sooo...yeah.
Anywho, I'm going to gooooooo and dethaw some more.
Love you all.
Stay warm, and enjoy the warm weather (if you still have such a luxury) while you can!!!!

For the Last Night in September 2009...
Ryan came over to watch Glee with Jess, Ashley, and I. Velvet works Wednsday nights till midnight, so unfortunatley she can't join us this semester for Glee.
However, things went pretty well.
There were multiple Gleegasms, and then Eastwick came on last night as well. FANTASTIC shows!
Ryan and I got up this morning and walked down to Champ. Farms to get Ben and Jerry's ice cream (the Chunky Monkey kind!) for breakfast. Unfortunately, when I tried to enter this into my Weight Watchers Tracker, I discovered that apparently Weight Watchers doesn't believe in Chunky Monkey ice cream or Ben & Jerry's. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?????????? So I just estimated my points worth....which could be potentially dangerous. But we'll see how this all works out.
Todays plans: Kickboxing. OH boy. Can't wait to come out drenched in sweat, and hoping I don't pass out. Granted, I definitely need it. (See above paragraph about breakfast.) I am hoping I will survive with my consciousness still intact. We shall see!
I am on campus all day today meeting with my advisees. I am a PA (Peer Advisor) and so I have about 14 Freshmen assigned to me to help guide them through Champlain's LEAD program. Completing LEAD is IMPORTANT because if you DON'T you will NOT be able to register for spring classes. I gave my advisees the ultimatem that today was the last day they are going to be able to meet with me, and my first appointment has ditched me......
WOW. Way to take responsibility for your college career. I am torn between telling him that no, he cannot reschedule an appointment with me, and relenting and making an appointment sometime on Sunday, or early Monday morning. This sucks. He needs to be more on top of his game. Welcome to college, and such!
Unfortunatley, I'll have to make a decision. I would love to call it quits, but I feel like my supervisor would make me reschedule with him regardless, so I might as well automatically do so after I meet with the rest of my students today.
On to more important matters: PIE!!!!! Velvet made us a Fudgey-bottom something or other pie which includes LOTS of whipped cream, and chocolate pie crust, and a candybar of your choice. Well, there goes my points for the whole week. Psh...who needs points anyway? My only drawback for this pie is that I don't really like whipped cream....yes, I know. This probably makes me Captain of the FAIL boat.
\Deserts and I sometimes get along. I tend to be verrrrryyyy picky unless there is chocolate involved. I will try anything as long as chocolate is involved. Fruity pastries, donuts, and custard-based deserts I do not have a fondness for. The ONLY donut I like is a chocolate glazed one. But since donuts are worth lots of points, I tend to avoid donuts all together. GOOD PLAN!
Well, I hope this catches you up on some of the stuff that went down last night. I will spend the rest of my day waiting for advisees who may or may not show up, and doing a group meeting, and waiting for more advisees, then going to kickboxing, then more advisees, (supper may or may not happen), and THEN I can go home to do homework.
Velvet is coming home with me tomorrow so I can show her what Vermont REALLY looks like. Really excited, but if I don't get my homework done I don't know how much I'll be enjoying my weekend.
Bottom Line: Wish me luck, and send me positive thoughts so I can get through today without breaking down into tears! Stay strong, and never look back (unless there was something that made you smile.)
Hope to write again soon!
Love,
Megan

Another Day...and More Awesome Randomness. Also, Introductions Are In Order.
So, tonight at 308 Maple, we got our Tarot Cards read by Brooke. She was DEAD-ON with every single one of my roommates (and Velvet.) How AWESOME is that? Words cannot define the AWESOMENESS and EXCELLENCE that is the accurateness of the tarot readings.
Before I get too much more into what happens and whom to, I will get into describing everyone.
Firstly, Hi! I'm Megan! Nice to meet you! Essentially, if you want to know about me, check out my profile here on Blogger. I am a sophomore in the Social Work Major here at Champlain College. 308 Maple is my residence hall for this year (obviously) and it is AWESOME. My life rocks. I have a boyfriend named Luke, who I will describe next. I was born and raised here in VT, and consider myself a native.
Luke- My excellent boyfriend. I love him to death and he loves me back. He is a redneck hick and does stupid shit to get an adrenaline rush. Dirtbikes is an avid interest of his, and he loves the outdoors. He is protective of those close to him, and will take a bullet for anybody he takes a shine to. Stay on his good side--he can be lethal when he wants to be. ;) Luke is also a fellow resident of VT.
Velvet- Does not live in 308, however she may as well. When Velvet gets bored, she cleans up after us. She is basicly like an older sister to everyone in this dorm, and we often look to her for logical advice on our respective issues. From NY, Champlain College & VT are whole different cultures that she has to adjust to. She is doing a fantastic job so far, and although the snow gets a bit intense, she handles it as if she were a true Vermon'er!
Ashley- One of my actual roommates. Although sometimes shy and a bit reserved, Ashely often has excellent input to whatever conversation happens to be going on. As a Professional Writer major, she loves to focus on the fantasy world, and to bring the fantasy world into reality. She loves to make us all laugh, and she has a very unhealthy obsession with chocolate.
Jess- My second roommate. Jess=Superwoman. After having overcome a tragic accident in her family in the past year, she still has the courage to move on and focus on the positives. I really do look up to her, and I LOVE her personality. She will get you motivated to do ANYTHING in your life...like it or not. And as a Marketing major, she could sell icecubes to an Eskimo! :) Jess is simply amazing, and the origional blogger of 308 Maple. I recently have jumped on board as a secondary opinion and to let everyone know what happens from more than a single perception.
Ryan- Also not a resident of 308 Maple. He spends every Wednesday night and some weekends here in the dorm, so we will consider him a part-time resident much in the way we consider Velvet a part-time resident. A note about Ryan...he LOVES THEATRE!!!! Musicals up the @ss, Sweeney Todd, Little Shop of Horrors, Hairspray, you name it, he loves it. I went to the same middle school and high school that Ryan did, and we started becoming friends back in my 8th grade year (his 7th) in Music class. In high school we both ended up in Select Choral Ensemble, and became friends with Eden. Eden is not in the area, but she may be referenced once in a while...just FYI.
Brittany & Rachell- Our other suite members, but we don't see them very often.
These are all the residents of Feeley House that will be mentioned most often, the protaganists of the narrative so-to-speak. Keep tuned for more awesome stories from 308 Maple!
Love,
Megan

Last Weekend
Amongst all the smelly, drunk people at Metronome, we (Jess, Ashley, Luke, Velvet, Chris and Rachel) had a great time at 90s night!
Fact: Middle aged men in green collared shirts hitting on college-age kids is kind of sketchy. (Especially when said middle aged men are drunk.)
Soon I will give a synopsis of every person in order to introduce them to the world, myself included (I'm Megan by the way!)
Keep in touch for more fun information to come.
Love,
Megan.
P.S.- Ryan (another individual soon to be introduced) and I belted out to Golddigger (GLEE version), and attempted to learn the Single Ladies choreography. Key word: attempted.
